I kind of expected Little Mix to be nominated for Breakthrough or Best Single for 'Wings'...I'm surprised James Arthur qualified to be nominated.

No real surprises there for me.

Very underwhelmed by all of this. Rita Ora, although not the most credible of artists has had a stellar year, which hasn't really been reflected here. And no Cheryl or Little Mix or even One Direction in the Best Single category but they do have Alex Clare!? Hmm. They are obviously trying to fine tune what they think music should be sounding like in 2013.

Very disappointed by this. Sad that Marina & the Diamonds hasn't been nominated at all, neither has Ellie Goulding! Very, very poor!

NEW NEWS! One Direction, Robbie Williams, Muse, Emeli Sande, Mumford and Sons and Ben Howard are the performers this year.

    ........No-one international?.......ugh

I'm surprised Jake Bugg wasn't nominated for best male but only for best newcomer. The Brit nominations are often a bit strange though!

I hope Rihfund stays away, so that Lana backs up her breakthrough win last year with international female.

    Such rubbish nominations. My word.

Disippointed to see no Little Mix nominations.

Suprised theirs no Call My Name in the single catergory! and suprised theirs no Ellie Goulding noms either.

Quite disappointed with the noms tbh.

Sorry but the BRITs are so far up their own arse. Last year was full of pop acts and their success.

Where is Cheryl in the best single catergory? It was one of the fastest selling singles of last year

He should have Richard Hawley's place in the best British male noms, IMO.

I don't think it's anything to do with popularity... and even so it didn't make much of an impact. Though considering Olly Murs & James Arthur are in there... i'm not sure either.

I know three awards are fan voted, Best British Breakthrough and Best British Single being two of them, what is the third?

The Best British Single nominations are always based on the highest sellers of the year before, Cheryl's 400,000 copies sold for example clearly wasn't enough to make the Top 15.

I'm not complaining, but why is Amy Winehouse nominated for best female?

I bet he's nominated because his single has sold nearly a million.

Predictable list really. Emeli will walk these awards.

Aside from the boxset in November, I don't think any material has been released from Amy.

I'm surprised at quite a lot of the list in all honesty, quite a few are missing.

That's because Alex Clare >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> One Direction, Cheryl and Little Mix :D

Great for Cat Power getting some recognition, instead of them throwing Nicki Minaj in there. Hoping the best for Alt-J, Plan B and Rudimental (even though they won't win anything)!

    L - Rolling Stones
    T - Coldplay

    British Breakthrough Act
