Remember during this campaign Cameron claimed to be the "party for the working people" and Labour cared more about the workers. Even the media struggled to see the difference as Cameron is appealing to more socialist voters.

So....you are a Labour supporter but you want another Tory led government? You are either doing a strange attention seeking act or you really don't know how supporting a political party works.

No because the SNP force opinions on people just like Labour refuse the EU vote as they think they know best.

I really hope all this talk of 50 seats is all wrong. If they fall flat today and Alex Salmond does not win his seat it will be a good day for No voters of Scotland. :)

If the SNP get more than 6 seats today then how can an increase be considered a failure?

What opinions does the SNP "force" on people?

SNP will try and put a positive spin on it but this is there chance to destroy Labour in Scotland. If they only get half they will feel let down.

They wanted to leave Westminster power and now they want in, the irony of it. Reminds me of when the Lib Dems were desperate for a bit of power back in 2010..

I agree, 12 would be successfull, 30 Would be very successfull and over 40 would be brilliantly successful.

Its what they will actually do with the numbers that will be interesting.

    What would 50 be then?

I'm hoping Labour are the biggest party and Milliband is PM.

Scots voters can make that happen. Relying on the English to do it would be risky.

No, I hope the SNP do well, Scotland should rule its self.

It had the chance to do that and voted against, less than a year ago. Forget it.

Agree, and it would make my day if Salmond did not win his seat, though I think it will be tight.

Unlikely as just about who everyone who supports the SNP who is on here has said. For months.

All the Tories on this Forum will be cheering on the nationalists.

And yet not one of them has.....

My main realistic hope is for another hung parliament but this time the party with the most seats and votes being frozen out of the coalition.

Of these, I agree that Dundee and many seats around Glasgow will go SNP. I thought Perth & Kinross was already SNP. The Borders seats might not change, at least not Michael Moore in Berwickshire. Edinburgh seats should stay Labour but Edinburgh West LibDem. Stirling should indeed stay Labour even though Anne McGuire has stood down.

I think Charles Kennedy will keep his seat but Danny Alexander will lose his seat, potentially to the SNP.

I think (hope !) that Stirling becomes an SNP seat. I think actually SNP is the favourite to win this seat, or at least it was when I last checked.

Re: Michael Moore's seat. He's polling really badly locally. The Tory though continues to not have the word Conservative anywhere on his signs etc. IS he ashamed?

With all due respect. No one in Glasgow cares about up North lol.

I live in Glasgow and was born here and like Billy Connolly said once, I don't even understand their language up there lol. It's just a bit weird how they live in the hills surrounded by farms and they don't live like the rest of society does. Glasgow is the main one. I couldn't get less about the rest of Scotland.

Up North? Scotland has an up north as well.:o

When I was up there, some places I could not understand a word, but the people in the hills seemed nice.

The ones at john o'groats were a bit dodgy.:D

I think he was meaning the North of Scotland. Apparently, Scotland stops at Glasgow borders for him. He seems to be a Nationalist version of Hilman Imp - priceless:D

I've been hoping for 30-35 seats but I'm pretty sure it'll be over 40 maybe 46-48, I'll be stopping off at the bookies for a wee bet after work, so I'll check the odds

Guess that's why Billy had a lovely wee Highland Estate for years & attended many Highland Games.
