I reckon she had a sex change and is playing up front for Huddersfield.

This seems the most likely theory so far. Do they have anyone with a bolt through their head and a missing spleen? I've a gut feeling the crossbow cannibal had a nibble at her pre op.

It's a bit creepy how this dangerous person who took her if that's what happened could be still walking our streets and living amongst us.

He's probably in the dating thread.

I'm not sure about that

When it comes to high profile missing children in particular, the outcome generally tends to be somewhat predictable, sadly.

Huddersfield have struggled for goals this season.

It's the only possible explanation for me.

But do they? I mean, really?

When Sarah Payne or Holly and Jessica went missing, did you really have any doubt that a body was going to be found?

You can generally tell from the circumstances what the outcome is going to be.

Sure, the Madeleine McCann case kind of turned that on its head, but that case is unlike any other I can remember.

Any idea when she went missing? The night before? Or when she set off from work early in the morning? The actual timing of her disappearance is a bit of a mystery.

Wasn't the CCTV from the morning?

Has it really been 4 years since she disappeared?

I think her remains will either be found in concrete one day, or she'll never be found.

How unusual is it for no body to be found in what has all the hallmarks of an abduction/murder case?

My perception is that high profile missing persons cases do tend to end with a body being found eventually.

I know there are some notable exceptions such as Madeleine McCann and little April Jones, but I can't remember too many incidences where a body is not found after a period of time.

Ben Needham is one of the few cases that was baffling from the start. He was a bit younger than most children that go missing as well.

When April Jones went missing in the circumstances that she did, did you really think she would be found alive? How about Tia Sharpe?

You can usually tell how things are going to pan out from the circumstances of the disappearance and the urgency of the police investigation.

    Millie Dowler?

I never had any doubt that Millie Dowler had been abducted and wouldn't be found alive.

I know it took a few months, but they found her eventually.

    :D

Do you not agree that it is often quite obvious what the outcome is going to be by the circumstances of the disappearance, the media coverage and response of the police?

It didn't take a genius to work out that Tia Sharpe had never gone on a shopping trip as her grandmother's boyfriend was claiming. We're you honestly surprised by how that turned out? I sure wasn't.

I think the CCTV was of her leaving work in the afternoon.

The wiki page seems up-to-date ...
Lawrence was last seen nearing her home in Heworth, York, on the afternoon of 18 March, as she returned from her work as a chef at the University of York's Goodricke College at the Roger Kirk Centre. That evening she spoke to her parents by telephone, making plans with her mother to spend Mother's Day together. Lawrence later sent a text message to a friend and has not been heard from since then. The last text message from her was sent at 8:23 p.m., and her last received message, from a bar worker in Cyprus, was at 9:12 p.m. Lawrence's passport and bank cards were left at her home when she went missing.

You know what I look like young lady.

The only similarity between myself and Mr. Poirot is the lack of hair.

I was. Though I think when these cases come up your judgement is clouded by the hope they are alive and well. I'm sure if I was thinking logically I would come to the same conclusion you did.
