It was threadbare, right? No comparisons with even the worst of OFOH of past.
It really was.
OFOH used to be able to produce laugh out moments and even the worst of episodes were (and still can be) funny but tonight I hardly raised a smile.

I have to say I thought the opposite; it felt more like the Only Fools of old. I found it far funnier that the new specials that wrecked the show and ruined past glories. But comedy is very subjective.
To be fair excluding Gary Lineker, it's not been too bad a show tonight.
Don't get the criticism of Davina McCall, yep, she's excitable & sometimes a wee bit OTT but bloomin heck, fair play to her, she was amazing in her challenge.
As for her reasons for doing it, imo, completely genuine.
It's been said before, but it's true. All these millionaire/multi-millionaire presenters could save the need for begging nights like this by just donating a few of their spare millions themselves.
I read a YouTube comment that it was a script that John Sullivan wrote that they found before he passed?
I don't know about that. I heard that they found a few ideas - not actual scripts - he may have written down for himself maybe not even contemplating ever doing anything with them. Pretty sure they were nowhere near polished or developed. What was on tonight bears no relation to John Sullivan's writing previously. Almost anyone who had watched OFOH could have come up with such a dire, cliched script.

I think the reason it was clichéd was because they knew why alot of people would be watching, wanting to hear the usual phrases and mannerisms.
They only had 10-15 mins so they could hardly try anything different.
There's a lot of snide, cynical comments on here tonight about some of our most famous celebrities. Most of you will never make as much money as them. They've turned out tonight, selflessly to support charidee. Gotta say, this thread is a lot more entertaining And funny than that pile of tosh on the telly. I switched it off as soon as Walliams appeared.

I thought it was Nicholas Lyndhurst who has aged the worst to be honest. He looked like a ghost.

Emma Willis gets most of the stuff she used to get now

Boyzone are struggling with their tuning.
No, it was a script he passed.
And he's only 52.

I'm not. I muted them after about four notes. :D:D

lol
That is one hell of a beard.
Have you not seen him since in anything for 10 years?
He looked fine to me. And very healthy!
He looks like that on New Tricks.
Thank you, I can stop watching the show after at least one laugh now.
I kind of thought Trig was better in that scene but yes DJ has been brilliant in many different roles.
£2m up.
Just struggling by on £250 million, it's difficult to know how he makes ends meet.....
Someone else had brought it to him?
