Do Dogs Dream?

I'm sure they do! My goldie is asleep in her basket at the moment. She's woofing quietly and her front paws are moving. I'd love to know what she's dreaming about.

Does your dog do this?

My dog runs in her sleep, I'm sure she thinks she's chasing squirrels.

Yep, within 2 minutes of lying down, she drops-off, rapid eye movement ensues, the paws start "running" her tail wags and then she's yip, yip, yip!:D

My fog did all the usual movements of running and tail wagging. She would also drink her sleep too.

Not my dog but still. Poor thing. Looks so bemused afterwards

My goldie absolutely loves her food. Sometimes when she's asleep her mouth is going like she's eating. I'm sure she's dreaming about food.

Diz can sometimes scare me during the night as she'll growl quite loudly

The rest of the time she's either trying chase or eat something (or both), much like when she's awake :D

My dog was definitely seeing something and running in her sleep just before she slipped away. Yes I do believe in life after death.

Yes of course they do. He makes funny sounds and moves, most probably chasing a squirreley. Other times he makes gasping sounds and I worry he's choking and go check on him.

How many have you got? I've only got one, a gorgeous golden retriever, so I only know about her.

Scares the life out of you when its all quiet and peaceful and all of a sudden the dog starts yapping in his sleep, its never his usual deep bark though, always like a high pitched yip, you can laugh at him if your not busy mopping up the cup of tea you spilled!
