Had to got to bed with work in the morning too tired to stay up, it used to be that when majors were on the west coast tee times were adjusted so they finished at a more respectable hour. They don't clearly do this anymore

Another very unexpected winner..they always seem to be American too!

Darren Clarke at the Open apart.

Shame for the Brits.

An Englishman hasn't won a major since Faldo at the masters in 1996.

Christ I remember watching that, I was only 9 coming 10. It was the first golfing tournament I watched throughout.

You really didn't miss much DB , amazing for Webb Simpson but i found the last round a bit boring ,might of been a bit better if Els or Mcdowell had won it but i never felt they were going to , thought Furyk was.

Maybe its because weve been spoiled with some great recent Majors i dunno but this one seemed to be missing something.

Ye its painful , Westwood i just expect it not to go his way now, he never gets a break in the final round and never seems to hole important putts ............. even after that tree buisness his long game was great and he smacked some amazing iron shots but you just knew the putts were not going to drop

I haven't given up hope on him yet but its starting to drain away a bit.

That was 15 different Major winners in the last 15 Majors , i wonder who will be the first one out of them to get a second ? one of the South Africans maybe.
