Was playing one of the classified missions on Baird's early testimony which featured low visibility and loads of dust everywhere meaning lots of close-quarter chainsaw fights. It's one of the visual highlights of the game, I've never seen an effect quite like it this gen.
Those low-vis bits were excellent throughout. Although the targeting reticule still turned red if you had it on an enemy. That should have been turned off in those bits, I thought.

Just completed "Judgement" and "Aftermath" and tbh a little disappointed with the length of the story and most of the levels looked the same. defiantly not a classic Gears game thats for sure.
When i completed the last bit of Judgement, i honestly didn't expect that to be the end, it just didn't feel like a normal game ending.
And unless your a Gears fan, i would wait for this to come down in price, IMO it wasn't worth the £38 i paid for it.
If there's anything that disappoints me more than the rest it's the fact there are only four maps in the versus portion of the multiplayer. FOUR MAPS, and one of them is terrible.
I've not played Aftermath yet, but while i did enjoy the Judgement campaign, it did feel like more of an expansion than a full game, and the last boss was really easy, nowhere near the teeth clenching frustration of the final boss from Gears 3. The Declassified side missions were a good addition though, hopefully they return for the next game, and the graphics were really nice. I'd be more than happy for People Can Fly to take over development for the series based on Judgement, just give us some more large scale battles next time rather than all of the firefights being skirmishes in small arenas.
Picked this up a week or so ago for a tenner and i'm almost at the end of judgement. It's been good so far, but still not quite on a par with the main Gears games.
I must admit though to finding having the "Y" button to switch weapons much more useful than using the D-Pad. Lets you do it a hell of a lot quicker.

Just done that, very nice indeed.
Loving this game!
It's the one with the poison gas with the time limit. Playing on hardcore and it just seems impossible to get through each area on time!! Any tips?
Is it a continuation on the main story?
It's a prologue that tells the story leading up to the beginning of Gears 3.

Will give the MP ago as i do like Gears online.
Personally I just made a run for it after the doors burst open because I only had a minute left, thankfully made it in time.
Thanks, so are there 2 maps? because I can only see one, Haven.
Just the one. Have you seen the low numbers on multiplayer? Extremly low.
