Does anyone else sufferb from momentary sound loss and picture glitch (somemtimes a momentary green horizontal line) when watching Film Four on Freesat?
I have experience this with both my Freesat TV and both Humax and Samsung Freesat HDRs I have owned.
This only happens on Film Four.

Automan.
I've seen this, exactly as you describe, likewise only Film 4. I'm using a Humax Foxsat HD, signal/quality is 100%/100%. I have assumed that it is encoding/transmission end rather than reception.
Film 4 along with some other channels switch the audio between stereo and joint stereo, don't know if that could be something to do with it.
Heres a log file from ProjectX demuxer:

Yes, like yourself and griffin54 I've seen exactly this issue on Film4.
I also have very good signal strength and quality. I share the view that it's not a reception issue as I'd expect to see blockiness etc as opposed to this type of symptom.
I've actually noticed this a few times over the past few years. Sometimes it would be the main one, sometimes the +1 channel. I also recall it happened from time to time when I was with Sky/Sky Freesat. I haven't noticed it on Freeview yet.
It happens on my sky hd box aswell.
I think I am acutely aware of it as I have a 42" screen and I sit within the 4x screen heights recommended for HD viewing.
Thank you for posting this, glad to hear im not the only one. Green line and sound glitches (a good 20-30 an hour sometimes, highly annoying!) present here too. I remember reading that Film4 has some parameter that is different from all other channels, and that some receivers can't cope. Always assumed that it was my fta receiver and that all freesat receivers didn't suffer from the problem. Good to know otherwise. Oddly enough, iirc, film4 +1 is not affected...
My signal level and quality readings are very high.
If this had been freeview i would have suspected moped interference, but this was on Freesat, with the Humax signal bars for strength and quality right up the top.
As a side note, had the snooker on yesterday. This was BBC1, freeview (SD) on a different tv in the house and at a few points over 1-2hrs there were similar skips in movement. Eg when the ball was hit it would skip several CM on the screen. Like a PC game where the hard drive doesnt spool the image quite fast enough. I think in the past i mentioned this before too.
