Joan Collins to be made a Dame?

The rumour is that Joan Collins will be made a Dame in the 2015 New Year Honours List.

She was awarded the OBE in 1997 but has always said she will never be a Dame as she is not in the same league as Judi Dench, Maggie Smith etc.

What are your thoughts on this?

    I agree with her above stated opinion on whether she should become a Dame.

    If Helen Mirren can become a Dame, why not Joan Collins, who actually likes the Royal Family, Helen Mirren did not particularly like them ,{The Royals) her sympathies lay with the IRA .Perhaps her feelings changed, after she was made a Dame. Even though she managed to play the part in the film of 'Queen' for a great deal of money.

    oh so you're meant to get a damehood for your political views, are you? In that case Joanie (member of the Conservative party) should be receiving hers from the current government any time soon
