This is a thread for the underused Shirley Carter. When she's going to be in an episode or makes a brief appearance, post here!

She's meant to be in tomorrow's episode :)

I can't believe how badly Shirley is underused.

Linda Henry is a phenomenal actress and she deserves better than this.

    But love this thread :)

    Sadly :(

Jean's another one. Two of our best actors underused.

I bet she regrets not quitting when Heather was murdered :(

Is she paid some sort of retainer or just by appearance? God knows how these people pay their bills if they only get one days work a month :P

she shouldnt have to leave just cos her friend was axed. i think theyd like her to be around when ben gets out

But she'll be a jibbering wreck by then if she carries on hitting the bottle. It's already quite difficult to understand her and I even have the subtitles on.

I think when the time comes Shirley will try mushrooms whilst smashed out of her skull on booze peacefully brain dead in the gutter, then that night the horrific images start to happen a giant flowing gutter appears before her eyes in like one of those drugged dream sequences where she exits the square. something like this.

I wouldn't mind if Linda Henry was a sh*t actress, but she's one of the best in Eastenders. I agree about Jean too, totally underused.

I can just imagine a series dedicated for Shirley with David Attenbrough doing the narration

"The Shirley Carter is a vicious creature. We observe her from her usual nesting place, in a pile of black backs outside of the Bridge St Cafe. Watch closely as the Shirley emerges from her drunken stupour, unaware of her surroundings. Hungry The Shirley rummages for some scraps of food from the cafe"
