Port Forwarding Advice.

When you assign a game to a console and open ports using the assign game option on the router, do the ports stay open all the time, or only when you play the game, or only when the console is on even if you are not playing the game?

    On most routers when a port is opened it is permanent. As it is to a games console, there is no security risk. Even if it was to a PC the risk is tiny assuming you have windows firewall (by default) or a 3rd party app e.g Norton active.
