Did you know e.g. there has been 6 nights of riots in Stockholm, that in Burma a buddhist monk incited violence against Muslim population. Not if you watch BBC or Sky.
Our news channels have correspondents worldwide but are narrow in the stories they cover and if something major does occur they send their star reporters over there to stand in front of The Event and say what they could have said in UK studio. They could instead use people based in the place itself.
I have to say Aljazeera channel is far wider in the countries they routinely cover and discussion is decent and thoughtful.

The troubles in Stockholm have been on BBC. At least it isn't only the UK that suffers from the immigrant population.

The BBC is obsessed with America, some of the stories they show from there are very parochial and would not be shown if they happened in any other country.
I'm more interested in Europe than America, but fortunately I have Freesat, so I have a choice of Al Jazeera, Euronews, France 24 and RT, also CNN and CCTV, if I want to know the American and Chinese view of things, but I don't usually watch those.

They certainly covered the Stockholm riots last night.
