There will be another tour of Midnight Tango in 2013, so I'll post any dates/venues etc in here again, and if anyone else sees any details can they please add too.
Tickets for this were released earlier in the week - I'm debating whether to go or not. Have just booked to see Brendan in Norwich - I missed out last year as it was sold out by the time I realised!

Honestly I say you should go for it.... It really is a great show and you won't be disappointed
Yes they redid many of the group dances / new dancers / new better costumes / sooooo much better
Some of the dancers have changed. They're mostly still London-based tango teachers, but a different lot; obviously, you can't teach and perform, so sometimes people drop out. And other changes happen - for example, Alexandra's still Dance Captain, but her main role has (alas) been reduced a little, I believe.
(I'm still waiting for the call personally, all I need to do is get 20 years younger, 6" taller and grow a ponytail and I'm sure I'll be in with a shot.)
But yes, I _think_ most of the changes have made the show run more smoothly, but I don't follow it too closely.
Coz most of this thread looks like one big advert from you for the tour. I could do with someone like you to promote my stuff
Not an advert for the tour - but merely posting the info should there be anyone who would like to know about the new dates/venues etc....
Basically sharing things that could be of interest to other people much in the same way as I often post links with general SCD info throughout the year.
No harm intended but if it annoys you (and I am getting the impression it does) then you can always not bother reading it as it is contained all in one thread so is easily avoided if you don't bother clicking on it.
Dilly, is it a full tour next year, do you know, or just a few venues?:)
I think it is a full tour SR but only a few of the dates have come through so far. I'm assuming it will run from early in the year until August but have no idea really.
Russell Grant confirmed as joining Midnight Tango for next years west end run at the Phoenix Theatre. He'll play the comedy role of Carlos the barkeeper. (Teddy who originally played this role is moving on to other things)

The little comedy bits, maybe, but the part where the barowner and his wife dance was such a bittersweet moment in the show.
