Phone call.

Had a call from a lady saying our PC was vulnerable with Windows Explorer 11. She said she was working with Microsoft and wanted me to go online whilst on the phone and would help me fix the vulnerabilities. Has anyone else had this sort of call?

It's a scam. She would then get you to do things to your pc which would allow her/her associates access to it.

Looks like a variant of the "I'm from Microsoft and your PC is riddled with problems" scam as discussed in this thread.

So now they are using the recently announced problems with IE as an excuse to try and scam you out of your hard earned.
