Slightly off topic, but something I'm really excited about (as you may have guessed from my namesake), Big Finish have released their trailer for their upcoming Dan Dare range. https://soundcloud.com/big-finish/dan-dare-volume-1-trailer
They're following the epic stories as printed in the Eagle comic, Volume One is due out in a couple of months with a Vol.Two due out next year.
Ed Stoppard (The Musketeers) plays Dan, with Geoff McGivern (Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy) as Digby and Heida Reed (currently in Poldark) as Professor Peabody.

I looked on Amazon and they want close to a thousand pounds for the original CD of "Voyage To Venus". Who can afford that?
"Jumping jets!" as he would say.
I have that CD but it's not the 1990 Radio 4 production but rather an independent production from around 2009 that seemed to follow the frame panels of the original story rather than a dramatised adaptation that matched-up scenes together but it's a nice little curio production.
I recommend 'One Rule' although it's a Torchwood audio, its an Yvonne Hartmann story, and gives a great insight into her character prior to the Battle of Canary Warf,
From the BF website:
"It’s been three weeks since the Mayor of Cardiff was killed by a shop dummy and the fight is on to see who will replace him.
Yvonne Hartman is visiting the city to retrieve an invaluable alien device. She's in charge of Torchwood One, she's saving the British Empire and she doesn't care about local politics. But she is going to find herself caught up in that fight. There’s a bloodthirsty alien stalking the streets and there’s a special offer on at the all-you-can-eat Chinese buffet.
It’s the 26th of March 2005 and it’s the day that everything changes".
I thought it was brilliant.
It can also be called 'Yvonne Hartmann has a bad night out in Cardiff'.

Thanks Matthew..... if I hadn't been listening to Serpent Crest I wouldn't have realised that Radio 4 Extra are broadcasting the radio version of The Twilight Zone from this Saturday
Staring - David Tennant (The Doctor), Billie Piper (Rose Tyler), Camille Coduri (Jackie Tyler), Rosie Cavaliero (Marge), Guy Henry (Ikron), Nickolas Grace (Chevalier D’Eon), Nicholas Briggs (Lord Hasskor / Commander Slaan)
Episode 1 - Infamy of the Zaross by John Dorney
An alien invasion of Earth isn’t quite what it appears to be...
Episode 2 - Sword of the Chevalier by Guy Adams
1791 and the Doctor and Rose get to meet one of the most enigmatic, thrilling and important people in history: The Chevalier d’Eon. She used to be known as a spy, but then she used to be known as a lot of things. If there’s one thing the Doctor knows it’s that identity is what you make it. Choose a life for yourself and be proud. Mind you, if the Consortium of the Obsidian Asp get their way all lives may soon be over...
Episode 3 - Cold Vengeance by Matt Fitton
The TARDIS arrives on Coldstar, a vast frozen food asteroid in deep space. But there is something sinister defrosting in the network of storage units... the Doctor’s old enemies the Ice Warriors!
Can't believe it's 11 years since the Tenth Doctor and Rose were on TV together! When Big Finish started in 1999, the Seventh Doctor and Ace's last outing was only ten years ago and that felt like an eternity! Of course, that might have had something to do with the fact there wasn't a show on the tellybox at the time.
I have been inspired recently to give these a go and saw that BBC Radio 4 Extra was playing one on Saturday at 6pm. It was part 1 of a 6th Doctor story called Leviathan and I actually thoroughly enjoyed it! Will definitely be tuning in next week.
Comments
I notice some of the 8th Doctor adventures are on there as well!

Big Finish is doing.........TERRAHAWKS!?!
.What next - The Flumps? or worse yet......CLASS ( shudder ).
Get with it! BF have done two series of Terrahawks, one in 2015 and one last year.
Not sure why your surprise, given that Terrahawks is one of the greatest programmes in the history of television, so BF doing it makes a lot of sense.
I enjoyed the Demon's Quest series, it was a good mix of narration and then dropping back into the action with the audio play.
