The running order is a disaster

Early starts for Slovenia, Norway and Estonia has killed those. Looks like they want a showdown between Russia and Italy (25 & 27). So go Il Volo

And going at the end didn't do any favours for the UK last year. It's got nothing to do with which slot you get, it's only if you are first or second half that makes a difference, and that is totally random.
Besides, the order of those songs is totally unimportant since they have a snowball's chance in hell of winning.
This competition is between Sweden, Italy and Russia. The others are just filler.
They were picking which half they are in not the running order, which is a car crash!! I think a lot can be read into this knowing they have access to the semi-final scores.
It needs to go back to random.
I would have preferred to see the 1st half song much more spread out over the whole evening
Definitely more time for toilet breaks this year after midway!
Well, exactly. If they wanted to rig it so that Australia won, they wouldn't take the chances of them choosing the first half. That was my point.
Personally, I don't think Last or 10th is a good position for either of the favourites, so I'm quite positive if they've done anything intentional here, it's only to give others a chance.
These days most people who are likely to vote on the night of the final will already be familiar with all the songs. It shouldn't make any difference where a song ends up in the running order. If it's the fan favourite then the results should reflect that.
Slovenia are performing 1st and it's become one of my favourites of this years contest so for me, the first song will be a highlight.
Fifth, not good!!
It didn't make an impression on me at first. Then grew on me a bit, seemed catchy. Then I saw the semi and it looked all about cutesyness and not much more. Not much feeling, though maybe that's hard to convey as her singing in English isn't that great imo. Feels style over substance.
So sad for Estonia, Slovenia and UK
The viewing figures for the final are always higher than the semis though, some don't bother with the semis at all. In the UK for instance they are shunted away onto another channel, other countries probably do similar.
Eurovision....suspicious? surely not???
it is good.. i checked back 10 years and there has been a 4th, 5th, 8th and 9th
exactly.
A song like France going 2nd? LOL
Estonia 4th? LOL.
