Interesting wage calculator from the BBC website. Looks like I'm not so bad off compared to the poor buggers in Pakistan. However, stuff here is far more expensive...

    What is amazing, is that theUK is the 5th highest, in terms of average in the world! Japan surprised me being so far down.

    Fundamentally flawed as a calculator like this should take local prices into account and the comparison between countries shouldn't be using a currency exchange into US Dollars.

    This monthly wage nonsense just makes it unnecessarily confusing. People aren't used to those terms.

    Whenever anyone enters a 5 figure monthly salary, you have to wonder if they make a very high annual salary or if they make a very low salary and can't do math and haven't bothered to read the thread to see others make the same mistake.
