- Reg Cox in EastEnders
- Gemma, the prostitute Lucas killed in EastEnders
- Darren Kiely in Red Rock
Gemma reappeared later, having been converted to Christ by Lucas. I believe she was supposed to have died, but they changed it afterwards because of the similarity to a real life murder.
Sally (Lisa Aldenhoven) committed suicide in the first episode of 'Prisoner' in 1979.
Social worker Rob Summerton as well.
He had only just introduced himself in the Rec Room before walking down the corridor to have lunatic Bev Baker stab him to death with a knitting needle.
- Babs Fanshawe, Ken's dinner date from his days as working for Alec Gilroy's escort agency. She died in the middle of the meal.
- Jake Webster, Kevin and Alison's son who died from a Group B Streptococcus infection on the day he was born.
- Paul Connor Jr. Maria and Liam's stillborn son.
- The already mentioned taxi driver who perished in the tram crash.
And an alcoholic friend of Peter Barlow's. He was introduced and died in a Pete Barlow centered episode on the 1st Anniversary of the tram crash.
I know it's happened in The Bill before for one of the officers
I remember that story. He joined with Sally. I assume it was done to give Gillian Taylforth's character some angst/worry.
In regards to Red Rock, the whole premise (for the time being) is the investigation into Darren Kiely's death and the tensions between his family and the killer's family. Not good for that actor but a good hook for audiences.

Georgia Thompson joined Casualty a few years back with 3 others, as 4 new junior docs. She was arguably the biggest name of the 4, but was killed off in the first episode she was in, while the other 3 (May, Lenny and Yogi) stayed with the show for a few years.

The was a second one we saw him pull up too, who was then later found dead a week later and he said it was Denise.

It was Georgia Moffett, not Georgia Thompson. She appeared in the first two episodes of the new series a few years ago (although I think it was a double bill weekend) and ended up at the bottom of a liftshaft. Out of the others, only Lenny was a real success; May and Yuki were gone in no time.
You might be thinking of Georgia Taylor? Who played Dr Ruth Winters and was previously Toyah in Corrie.
Reg Cox was killed off in the first Eastenders episode
Reg Cox, although only appearing in one episode was alive (just) in the first episode when he was taken away in the ambulance. He didn't die until the next day (off screen in hospital)

That character (I think his name was Jonno) had already appearered in the 2009 episode where the Barlows attended the AA meeting with Peter.
