They did all they had to do.

Whole tournament had been dirge though. Glad the French lost. Best team on the night won

It's a bit embarrassing that the team that finished 3rd in their group and couldn't win a match in their group went on to win the whole thing.

The tournament has been a bit of a disaster from a football point of view.

France blew it in the final though. Played like the result was inconsequential.

I can see what they were trying to do, to give the lesser lights a platform. Albania, Hungary and Iceland didn't let themselves down. Trouble is it meant everyone was playing to not lose in the group stages because they knew they didn't need to do much to qualify for the knock-outs. Hence why the goals per game stat is the lowest in decades.

I didn't realise Portugal had never won a tournament before. Maybe they'll finally break their seal at Eurovision in 2017.

Also the sheer amount of insects flying around that stadium was insane.

    So sad. :(

Something really needs to be done now. Sending out messages of solidarity from our leaders just won't cut it.

Around this time 2 years ago I was woking in a call centre where the air con was so immense I was shivering. Needless to say the only thing I miss about working in a call centre is not having to wear a uniform, they're like battery farms for humans. :p

Battery farms for humans. Now I feel much better. :D

Because it's summer they have relaxed the dress code so I rocked up today in some pink shorts and a t shirt with a cityscape on it. We are supposed to wear 'business casual' dress normally.

:( I work in a brand new office. No air con, but the office was meant to be a "smart" building, impossible to get too cold or too warm due to the infrastructure. The windows are all smart - they open themselves and close themselves depending on the heat and the level or oxygen (or something xD!) in the office. on the hottest day of the year, the windows were closed. It was literally unbearable. Actually thought I was dying :cry: Funnily, the windows open when it's freezing outside and raining........

Incredible new world record from Keni Harrison as well of course. 28 years it took for that to fall!
