Who said it was? Martin was suggesting the links should be tighter, that's all.

The links don't need to be tighter. Thats not the format of the show.

JLC would be a good choice, although I wonder if they could get away with the camp club classics format with him co-presenting?

Liza Tarbuck would be my prefered choice, then again Janey Lee Grace from Steve Wright's posse could do the same job better than Ms Forbes.

I think if Justin Lee Collins co-hosted the show, it would have more sparkle and excitement. Alan and Justin work very well together.

By the way, I like Janey Lee Grace. I am surprised she lost her early Saturday slot in 2006.

It has been a bit ropey at times. I blame Emma Forbes.:sleep:

When does she start her Sunday show?

You can still have the same format and break the links up between records. There's no harm between having a link with emails, then another song, then have a caller on. It's too long winded as it is.

It's the first time I've ever listened to Radio 2 on a Saturday and I'm loving this! Great music and actually really funny. I do wonder if Emma occasionally needs to shut up and let Alan talk occasionally - but they'll get that right given time.

Overall, Alan's a great signing and he's doing a great job!

Well that was the first time I've listened to R2, apart from the music I really enjoyed most of the show.

The Going Out With Alan Carr Show. With a lot of the input made by Emma Forbes. It will be interesting how this will plan out? Just wonder if the future plans are for Emma to co host, or it's just to help break the show in? I can't see the show will be on for 12 months of the year?

It was a great show; loads of humour, interaction and a good mix of music.

Alan Carr along with Emma Forbes starts this coming Saturday ( 25th April ) on Radio 2. I heard the trailer today. I think the show will be very interesting.

I know he can't help the way he talks, but I just hope his voice wont turn too many people off.

    Good luck.

    The voice is put on.

It would help is she stopped descrbing everything as SO....
She is a bit annoying, she needs to pipe down - trying too hard.

Well, I have some bad news for you! At the end of May, Emma Forbes will also present her own show on Radio 2.

The good news is the show will be broadcast from 5.00 - 7.00am Sundays where she will be out of the way! :D

I thought Alan Carr was brilliant last night, Forbes was ok, would have prefered Sally Lindsey though. My one big irritation was the music, it was like a wedding disco!!

Ill still listen next week though :P
