Watching some old episodes and for me it's the old school First series heading to the Indigo league with Brock Misty and Ash I loved that it actually had a full story arc over the 90 episodes nowadays kids tv shows the storys are different every episode.

Yeah I find the new series unwatchable the CGI just does not appeal to me also watched the first few episodes of series 1 and there is a really emotional scene where ash's Pikachu is injured and he is on the bike and he crashes and gives himself up to be attacked instead of Pikachu it really was a strong emotional episode which I just don't think they could show to today's audience because it could upset the kids watching shame really
Why they had to make more and create thousands of pokemon is beyond me!
A true pokemon fan knows there are only 150 pokemon;)
Hell yes haha!
Golduck being the best, followed by Ninetails
I still haven't completed Pearl but I still want to buy White
I was ecstatic a couple of months back when I found the old Sonic the Hedgehog cartoons on DVD, and I wish they would do the same with Pokemon (and Digimon, for that matter).
Yes I agree although there are about 91 episodes in series 1 I had the whole of series one imported on blank disks from America but lost them
I bought the first season on ebay, imported from Australia. Planning on buying season 2, the orange island episodes as they still focused on the rest of the original 150
Yh I am currently watching some episodes of series 2 now they lose Brock and replace him with Tracy who is a pokemon watcher only downside is the themetune the series 1 themetune is great the others are not so great.
Just found (and ordered) the entire Series 1 and 2 from Amazon:

What is described in that 4th link as 'Vol. 4 Season 1' is actually the entire season 2.
They are, however, region 1 DVDs, so you've got to have a multi-region DVD player.
I'm looking forward to these dropping through my letterbox so I can relive my youth. Great stuff.
