Lets remember that at this point for Channel 4, they were about to have one of the best civilian series and completely re-invent the format with Big Brother 5!
Channel 5's fifth series...it's going to be thrown to a 11pm slot?
But they didn't completely reinvent the format with BB 5.
the idea of endemol taking the show solely online is looking better and better all the time
WHY are they even bothering with channel 5. seriously
Some of the things I've read in this forum recently have reminded me a lot of some of the things said towards the end of BB's time on C4.
As there was then, there's a strong tendency to blame the broadcaster for everything, to treat Endemol as effectively blameless, and to think everything will be great if BB escapes that broadcaster and goes to a different one or (a new option) goes online.
It seems pretty clear to me by now that most of the things people don't like are due more to Endemol than to the broadcaster.
The lack of live feed is almost the only exception -- but I wonder how much Endemol really wants one. I think it's rather convenient for Endemol for the broadcaster to get the blame while Endemol's ability to manipulate via edits etc takes advantage of the lack of live coverage.
Yet we again see people thinking Endemol will give them the BB they want if only Endemol can get free of the broadcaster.
'where there's a will ,there is a way'
hopefully they can rustle up some feed for people who like that sort of thing
i don't think it would be enough to draw me back in to watching the show
I find the same with IAC this year its dead. I do think if MTV gives it a chance and that much delayed TLC it can sort the format out. I sent Smith an email basically saying one of the key issues with the summer series no connection and people just don't care.
If they finally realise that its going to help NO end.

there's been a few false dawns but let's hope they do try their very best to improve the show
looking in from afar ,it seems to me that they just couldn't be arsed in the past
Its all very well having ambition its what you have to back it up that counts!
I know barra I just hope they see it does help for 2015 because 2014 IMHO was a complete flop. Unless they get people engaged more its just not working in the current state.
No problem at all x
Finally got some movement on Real life events finally
actions speak much louder than words
as we have seen so many times and have had so many broken promises
i really hope that if the new owners really do want to keep BB and have the power/money to invest to the show, that they will take notice of the ratings and how so little coverage has an effect on viewers involvement too.
thank you once again for keeping this going and lets hope this time they get the message
hope real life is finally moving in a positive direction Oathy…..
Live feed is being looked at by MTV at the moment.
again its a "cost" issue but Ben Frow says the Ambition is there
MTV is a pay channel though isint it,so if you dont have sky your screwed.
I have a 1metre dish and have no intention of adding another dish like sky insist or paying them for a multitude of channels many of which are already free via freesat/satellite.
A live feed on a package deal subscription is a terrible idea and i cannot see MTV giving up airtime for more than an hour.
A netfeed would make much more sense,a freeview feed would be the ultimate but given the options viacom would have I cannot see why it wouldnt end up on freeview.

with the MTV network they certainly have the scope to put the feed online don't they.
few months ago I got in touch with the CEO of Viacom EU and a few others and they replied saying they would look into the suggestions made. I just hope some good comes from it

I dont know how you have the patience with all these back and forth letters..I reckon if they bring a live netfeed back we should all club together to get you a yearly subscription to live feed lol
Hope you know yours and others efforts to campaign for livefeed despite all the obstacles thrown at you all since the ch4 days are much appreciated.
Just hope one day it all pays off and we start getting back to a series I can fully get involved with.

tbh its been a nice diversion im pretty negative most of the time but recently I'm making a dementor look like Alan Carr
So sorry for the delay. I heard nothing back to the Questions I put given that's a rinse repeat of earlier this year doesn't bode well but hope that doesn't turn out to be the case.

I'm guessing business as usual then, aka a complete botch job
one positive , hard to see the cbb line up being worse than the rumoured line up
for channel 4's 'the jump'
looks like I'll be watching neither show this time around

At least you tried anyway! I never expect any improvement so i don't end up disappointed lol
I heard nothing back from Channel 5 or Endemol and seeing the offerings no suprises.
So MTV are going to repeat the h/l's shows (a lot). And Gumtree an internet based hipster selling service are all over twitter saying they cant wait to get started. Its such a shame they didn't realise the potential of using the Eastern EU model of sponsoring because without doubt it would have more impact than just the same advertising as Dreams and that super Casino.
