I went to see Diamond Head last Friday.
I was right down the front. What a classic set they played.
I shook hands with all of them at the end of the gig. I've met Brian before and he's still the unassuming gentlemen he's always been.
    Superb stuff.

We can't have been far from each other Stockings, I was up against the barriers as well :).

Your right, it was a great set, Brian played a blinder, just a pity there were not a few more there to witness it.

That was my second time at Sin City. Is the PA always that bad there?
It was awful the time before too.

EDIT: I was in the London Welsh shirt. Did I buy you a pint?

    Pre-ordered that last week too.
Got the new Nickelback and Bush CDs.
Will listen to Bush in the car later today.
Listened to the Nickelback one yesterday. It's definitely a Nickelback album, although strangely not as heavy as their previous output. The funk tinged track is OK, but they should be shot for the track featuring a rapper. Dear God it's bad.

No, unfortunetly it wasn't me, always happy to accept free beer. :)

It was my first visit to Sin City, so not sure how it usually is. The vocals were a bit distorted at times, and my ears didn't stop ringing until Sunday. As sign I'm getting older I suppose!

The vocals were really unintelligible, and they were for The Answer too.
I think they need to do something about their PA.
Otherwise, it's a handy central venue.
After years of living in London and paying £4.50 for a pint at venues like this, it's nice to be charged just £2.70.

For me there is no excuse for a distorted sound these days, it is a real bug bear of mine.

Interesting as they have just re-signed to Napalm Records. I guess it keeps the costs down, though!

An online bid to get Iron Maiden classic The Number Of The Beast to Christmas number 1 has led to the track becoming bookies’ third-favourite for the seasonal top spot.

The Facebook-led campaign has gathered nearly 20,000 followers since launching last month. Similar chart pushes have become the norm since Rage Against The Machine secured number 1 in 2009, beating the winner of Simon Cowell’s TV game show The X Factor.

Now betting firm Betfred have cut Maiden’s odds to 10-1, bettered only by this year’s X Factor (1-2) winner and the Band Aid 30 charity single (11-4).

Lets hope for a speedy recovery for Saxon drummer Nigel Glockler. All remaining UK dates postponed until Feb.
Gutted I won't get to see them in Shepherds Bush on Saturday, but hopefully Nige will be well enough to join them in February.

I was supposed to be seeing them on Tuesday.

Apparently he had an operation yesterday but is having to have another one today, as the first wasn't successful.

I saw them on the Black Ice tour and they were brilliant, so I will live with those memories.

The Answer are doing a UK tour next March, as are Halestorm. :)

I'll pass on them but I'm seeing Amon Amarth in January & hopefully the rescheduled Saxon/Hell in February.

Strongly considering a return to Bloodstock next year too.

It's fair to say Genn Hughes didn't go down too well @ Planet Rockstock a couple of weeks ago.
