Coronation Street – Friday 21st October 2016 – Pop Goes The Weasel?
My last thread in July saw Kylie meet her maker at the hands of Clayton. Now David has turned vigilante and is determined to avenge her death. This week has also seen the return of Peter Barlow. It is great to see the Barlows and Platts at the forefront of the show headed by the two legends- Ken & Gail. Both want the best for their sons but there’s more trouble ahead…
Coming up tonight:
Car-tastrophe
A Stroke of Genius?
Orange is the New Black
Caz-t A Spell
Thanks to Rita’s Kabin and agatha_crispies for this week’s threads.
Hope everyone has a great weekend!

A New Era is Upon Us
Kate Oates’ era is here and there is plenty of positives to be taken from her early work…
1. The restoration of the family feel to the show. It has become a fragmented mess in recent years. The returns of Peter, Toyah, Adam and Rosie will help to bolster some key family groups and allow the show to rely less on its premier family, the Platts.
2. Everyone is getting a story. Some are more miss than hit but there is enough happening to keep you watching and interested. It will also (hopefully) help the new producer to expose the deadwood.
3. Character interaction has improved tenfold. Characters are interacting with those outside their current story and usual circle. This helps to create a sense of community among the residents.
4. The show is not revealing every last detail. The BGT stunt was kept under wraps along with Kylie’s murder and this week’s stunt. There’s enough to speculate but we have to tune in to find out what is going to happen.
5. The show has got back in touch with its history with references to past characters like Liam Connor, Hilda Ogden and Brian Tilsley and events that have shaped our current characters into who they are today. Now let’s see where Kate tends to take them in the future.

The weasel looked a bit ridiculous in those trailers where he was frothing at the mouth and gnashing his teeth.
But Hilda was nice :D:)
I find it odd they locked a suicidal man in a wine cellar with no way of watching him.
