    I didn't see anything between Marlon and Harriet.

    However, Kate Oates doesn't have two characters talking to each other for no reason. It's most certainly a possibility that they are considering putting the two together.

    How does Harriet support herself, and where does she live? She went from a policewoman to a priest, and now she is a prvate investigator. There surely aren't enough people in the village needing a private eye to bring her in a living wage.

    With all the affairs going on in Emmerdale I'm sure Harriet has plenty of clients:D Its funny that you were saying where does Harriet live, cuz in another thread we were discussing where Andy and Pete had been living. I think there are several characters that are currently homeless on the show:D

    She's deserves much better than Marlon could ever give and sadly there's no one currently in the show that I would put with her. Bring someone new in. I still haven't forgiven Ashley for his BS reason.

    What about Bob? Those two have great chemistry and they hinted that Bob has feelings for her, plus it'd be great to see Bob kick Wendy to the curb.

    Harriet is one of those filler characters for me. She's been used to fill out other characters storylines. With Edna gone she can get her cottage and have own roots in village. A bit of wife (partner) swapping I suppose is the stuff of Yorkshire village life.
