The Platts scene at the end was beyond absurd. So in one day David and Kylie decide they're going to buy a house, book a viewing at Eileen's and get themselves a mortgage. And then they mouth off at Eileen because she's had the audacity to change her mind, as if they had already moved their furniture in! And bloomin' Gail chiming in as always. Ridiculous.

I foresee some Eileen and Gail comedy feudage, the Flower competition isn't yielding much comedy.

If I ever want a mortgage I think I'll go to the banks in Weatherfield. Next up Dennis will be getting one!

And why, pray tell, have they not thought of buying Jason's flat?
I thought Jason was no longer selling his flat? Doesn't Tommy live there with Tina?

Soaps almost never give accurate detail to financial aspects. I think hairdressers average wage is £5-9/hour so they would earn enough to get a mortgage on a terraced house.

I assume they didn't go for Jason's flat (nor will they go for Dev's) is because they want a garden for Max.

Are you saying that Eileen's house has a garden? Have we ever seen it?

Yes, although it's not a garden in the sense of having a lawn, flower beds etc.

It's the same as the rest of the houses at that side of the road - a small concrete yard.

Well she's getting room and board and she's worked behind the jump before.
May or may not be getting paid, it's her Mum's place after all.

LOL, listen Luke, that beautiful knitted thing she had on last night cost £27 in the sale at Oasis. (Yes, people do start threads about these things). Anyway, her hair looked great, (even if she has had it done the same colour as her mother - probably a BOGOF from Nice 'N' Easy at Tesco.
