And I think you should all calm down. Rita Ora has three UK number 1s under her belt in ONE YEAR and a number 1 debut album. She isn't going anywhere for a long time, and where is Alexandra in the charts? Unfortunately she flopped. Good luck to her in America but she needs a miracle to be taken seriously as an artist again
Same thing happened with pixie lott and look what happened to her! Rita is crap despite the huge budgets / record label support. I love bashing alexandra on here (mainly because her fans on here are weird and wont accept HOH was CRAP!) But rita is no were near as good as alex talent wise

You wish. Real talent shines through eventually, and I'm glad Alex is making a bid to crack the US, after the UK and the very same public that voted for her, shunned her so shockingly.

I was referring to the fact that it'd gone completely off-topic and the fact that it's the same arguments repeated by the same people. Doesn't make for great reading..

I've quite enjoyed it so far. Prepare yourself for the announcement later this year.

As far as Rita Ora, the longevity of her career depends entirely on how long she can maintain the interest of Jay-Z.

Jay-Z has banked on turning Rita into the next "Rihanna" sized global superstar.. But Jiggman tends to demand quick results. He invested a lot of time trying to turn Alexis Jordan into a superstar, and she never quite did as well as the budget she had demanded, so he's pretty much lost interest. Rita is in the same boat. If she doesn't make a bigger impact in America than she currently has, he's gonna move on (her first single in America, How We Do, peaked at number 62 in the billboard charts, a big flop, relative to expectations). They have to go back to the drawing board with Ora, because apparently, she's got nothing the Americans really need. Alexandra has at least got an outstanding voice that has wowed even American singing legends (like Dionne Warick and and Gladys Knight).

Jay-Z is hoping America goes for Rita Ora because of her looks, but if that fails (like it's doing so far), he'll put her on the shelf like Alexis Jordan and try to find another pretty girl to market based on her looks. Rita Ora without the superstar budget that she gets from being a Roc Nation artist, would basically be PIxie Lott.

Alex will always slay Rita anytime, and we don't need another Rihanna.

I hope it works out for Alex in America (and ultimately the UK). If singers like Cher Lloyd, who were hated from day one in the UK, can go to America and sell a million copies of their debut single then I'm sure Alex can too. Alex is at an advantage because she has much better performing abilities/vocal abilities than Cher Lloyd does.

Alex needs to make sure her new album steps away from this generic dance stuff. I understand when people say Alex offers nothing different and that's part of her problem. She COULD offer so much more because she oozes talent but instead she settles for average material which sound like rejects from Rihanna and Beyonce. I know Rita isnt anything original but the thing is her songs are a lot more catchier than Alex's (because of her huge budget no doubt).

Anyway Alex should go back to her debut album sound except make it a bit edgier and more of an R&B vibe. She'd suit that sound and it would do her voice justice.
