I'd hope so. Otherwise any women living on their own would have awfully messy, smelly homes...

My OH will wash up, he also does the vacuuming, will make tea, looks after our son etc. Nothing's done on a "regular" every day or every week basis though, just as and when needed.

I do all of the work outside, most of the cooking and I hoover on request.

I like to think that we share the workload.

He always makes me a coffee when I get up at the weekend, as I usually get up later than him.
That's exactly how we are! He cooks, I clean up after the food, we divide the rest evenly/based on who's alert enough to do it.

I don't see any men who leave it all to their wife/girlfriend/mother chiming in to say so, either.
Funny, that.

He's gone early in the morning and back late at night; so I do breakfasts, school lunches and tea. He, however, is around a bit more in the middle of the day, so he often does dinner. At the weekend, the cooking's 50/50. He's good to load and unload washing machine/dryer/diswasher; but I do all the ironing and putting clothes away (hours of it with five of us); I also do all the bathroom cleaning, hoovering, floor washing, dusting etc. And washing windows.

We both do shopping, he might do slightly more.

Neither of us does the 'gardening' He mostly operates the lawnmower, though.

You've just reminded me that I need to do ALL the floors and the windows tomorrow.

oh, forgot - he also does the bins.
