I'm prepared to be dissapointed by this, i'm pretty sure this is the same person who said there would be a Vita announcement at the playstation meeting. And they just mentioned remote play. Colour me sceptical on this one.

It could be a new AC game, there is already a title listed on a Spanish store I think, would people prefer a sequel/spinoff or a new ip? I think I want a spin off from a console series, then I would pray it's good enough to get people to buy the thing. The Vita needs system sellers.

We've got Dragon's Crown, Tearaway and Killzone Merceneray as the 'big' games this year, they are great for us who already own Vita, but will they make someone go out and buy one? I love my Vita and want it to do well, so I really hope Sony show some support at E3 this year.

And for god sake drop the price! I bought mine with a 32GB memory card for £260, I don't regret it at all, but not everyone is willing to pay that for a handheld. It would be so much better if they bundled the 32GB with the system. When the Vita is listed as £200 it looks great, but then it starts to get a bit annoying when you have to buy over priced accessories on top. Make it £220 with memory included, done.

A new Vita AC is already confirmed, it is a spin-off of the new PS3/4 game.

I think someone posted in this thread before that the AC Vita title sold a million copies, which is pretty good considering how many Vita's were sold back then.

I actually forgot about Killzone! That should be good. Tearaway looks OK, but nothing special. Probably will have to play that one to appreciate it compared to watching trailers.

I didn't know AC was confirmed, I thought it was still rumoured at this point. I know Ubisoft were happy with the sales, 1 mil is great for the size of Vita's userbase.

I saw a gameplay video of Tearaway recently, it just looks so cute, maybe cute isn't everybody's thing but I'll be getting it. I wish they would make a new Katamari game that looked like this, that would be amazing.

That was my mistake I was thinking of Batman!

I think Vita is worth it for PS+ alone, I've loved every game they've dished out so far.

Tried to order a bundle of Vita, 4gb memory card, 2 games and a month of PS+ for £225 earlier but the site wouldn't let me. Anyone know of any deals as good as that?

Amazon are doing a Vita with 4GB memory card and either Assassins creed or CoD for £189.99, seems like a decent deal to me.

It's also worth mentioning that for the offers above you also get Fifa 13 free.

On another note Amazon sell a 32GB memory with Fifa 13 for £54.99

There is speculation as to what it could be: maybe God of War, Grand Turismo, maybe an Elder Scrolls game. The Sony man, Shahid Ahmad, said we will be hooked for hours. He says it is third party and not a port in later tweets.

I wonder what it will be. I would love to see a great Western RPG game.
Yep. If the Vita gets a Skyrim-esque title and my personal console favourite a PGA Golf? Plus the Remote Play thing is technically proficient. Then the PSV will make a triumphant return to our gaming selection. Having said that our little un is keen for some portable FIFA and Lomu Rugby again. So it’s likely we’ll be picking another up later this year anyway.

It is looking like there is going to be a strong showing for the Vita at E3

http://www.pushsquare.com/news/2013/...in_los_angeles

It also looks like the makers of Ico are making a game for the Vita - Panoptican.

http://www.pushsquare.com/news/2013/..._our_attention

That will be clarified on the 21st May before E3.

Looks like exciting times for the Vita.

About time! Picked this up on ps3 a while back but have held off playing it till the vita version hit. It seemed like a good fit for a handheld. Hope the conversion is a good job.

Really pleased about rayman on plus next month.

Not sure what game to buy for Vita,

Shinobido 2 or Guacamelee, i know they are vastly different games but i can't decide which one to buy as there are no refunds on the PSN

Have people played both or either if you have what is your opinion on them

I haven't played Shinobido, but Guacamelee is excellent, I don't usually play that type of game but I really enjoyed it. Lot's of nice references to other games in there as well. I'd recommend it to anybody. It's quite a challenge.

So Panoptican is now called Freedom Wars and is a Vita exclusive.

Trailer for it is here:

http://www.thesixthaxis.com/2013/05/...ita-exclusive/

It has a big game feel to the trailer and hopefully it will live up to the expectation.

Hmmm.

Only played this very briefly last and the first impressions weren't great.

The first game froze on a cut scene, so I had to reset the vita.

The second game loaded fine etc. but the frame rate is really jerky, to the point were it can impact on the gameplay. I will try it again tonight, but if this stays the same I will just end up playing it on the PS3.

The US got Gladiator free this week, but it is not ready for an EU release yet (really looking forward to that one).
