He's playing "The Doctor" in series 8. We've not got to series 12 yet

Let's let this new poster Chris get over this misdemeaneour (sp?)

OK, mate - this new Peter Capaldi plays The Doctor. End of.

To complicate things - he was also in Fires of Pompeii opposite David Tennant :)

Mixing up the story can't taking out who is better and worst, but any ways thanks for questioning so i get good answers about walking dead season 5

If he's genuine, I think it may be very wrong to mock his errors.

The Doctor is an alien with a time-machine. His race of people look like humans but are very different in some important ways - one of which being that they can completely repair their body and the replaced cells can be so different that the regenerated person's appearance can be totally different.

The Doctor is the last of his race to still be travelling in time and space. Until recently, he believed that his home planet and all of his race had been destroyed but he now knows that they are actually "hidden" and if they can be found, they should be able to be returned to their own place in the universe.

The Doctor is a free-agent. He has no specific "mission". He generally claims to be just travelling around but there are signs that he - with some interference from his somewhat sentient ship, the Tardis - is actually looking for adventure and maybe even seeking out people who need help. He spends a lot of time with humans and is a frequent visitor to Earth. He views us as an interesting race and has made many references to the future of humans - which generally involves us spreading into space and possessing some admirable qualities, especially our curiosity.

This current incarnation of the Doctor has not stated that he has any specific purpose in mind in the current series but we were given to believe that he is at least pondering how to rescue the people of his homeworld. Meanwhile, he's been dealing with a slightly fragile relationship with his friend, Clara, as she tries to balance her time between the Doctor and her serious boyfriend, Danny.

And whilst all of that is happening, the Doctor and Clara seem to be the focus of attention for an unknown and unexplained character calling herself "Missy" who appears to be taking on the role of "running Heaven" and has been seen meeting with people who apparently died whilst having some sort of connection to the Doctor and Clara. Not much else is known about "Missy" other than that she appears to have a helper called "Seb" and that she seems to have some personal interest in both the Doctor and Clara which is expressed as if she has an actual relationship with both.

    Bravo, that man!

    Beautifully put. :)

Edited to add: I'd be more than happy to see Capaldi in the 12th series .....:D

Props to MinkytheDog for his answer. The question being answered...
Perhaps he's working in Octal ?

Wouldn't 12 still be two years ahead? I make it heximal (note to computer nerds: not hexadecimal).

If he wants to speculate about events in 2018, why not? Maybe that one will end with the Doctor revealed as the Master's brother.

So which stories in the 12th series feature Capaldi? Is he in the background somewhere in Genesis of the Daleks?

Probably just off set with a sketch pad and an autograph book from what I've heard about our Peter. ;-)
