Err I don't really watch films over and over again. I guess it's because I'm young.

Probably LOTR, I've seen that about 4 or 5 times. Or Back to the Future, 5 times I think.

Wow! some people really are excessive with their re-watching of films, not being judgemental or owt but I'd probably grow to hate my favourite films if I watched them over 100 times!

    My most-watched are probably:

    Terminator 2
    Stars Wars
    Alien

Each of them 20+ viewings, Star Wars possibly up to 40.

That's kinda what happened to me. My most watched film is the original Star Wars - over 100 viewings, I'm sure. When I was younger, I used to watch it almost every day. I don't hate it now but I've seen it so many times it's not nearly so much fun to watch any more.

    The Blues Brothers (1980)
    Dawn Of the Dead (1978)

saw em both when VHS was a luxury, two films EVERYONE at school had seen.
Still love em (possibly even more*!) nearly 30 years later:)

*as i now undersatnd the consumerist, social, satire of "Dawn"-
and the genius of Belushi-after reading "Wired" over 20 years ago.

I'm not sure I could just pick one.. I've seen all of these a lot of times because of phases of watching them over and over.

    Back to the Future
    Titanic
A Fish Called Wanda (I watched it about 40 times when I was going through a bit of a bad phase, it seemed to make me feel better)
    Kill Bill 1+2
    Saw series
    Sweeney Todd (2007)
    The Lion King
    Pulp Fiction
    Reservoir Dogs

The Sound of Music - Completely innocent and the music is highly addictive
Matilda - This must have a few plays as the tape is no longer in any state to be played!
A little Princess - Another kids film that I seem to remember word for word and the ending never fails to make me cry.

I seem to notice that Terminator is a film people seem to watch over and over - Psychological hold over the owners of the film perrhaps? ;)

For me it tends to be films with either visual flair or a good soundtrack or both. The experience is a bit like playing music or having a picture on the wall. It's comforting rather than new and surprising.

    Examples for me include:
    Hero
    Silent Hill
    Moulin Rouge

I do, however, get bored of them eventually. There are a few films I loved when I was young, and watched a lot, but don't even own now because they are all watched-out. Blade Runner is an example.
