I always think I will regret throwing stuff out but in reality I don't.

This precisely why I can't throw things out...I suppose I'm a bit 'OCD' in that area!:D

My France '98 shirt with Owen on the back :(

I have a knack of throwing things out then finally having a use for them a week later, or they become valuable later. Grr.

When I throw stuff out I usually find that I need something a couple of weeks later that was among it.

Early November I had a clearout of some car parts that had been stored in the shed for a couple of years, Last week I needed a prop shaft centre bearing, yep you guessed it, there was a good one among the bits I chucked, now it's cost me £50 for a new one.

I had about the first 5 years of 2000AD in a box. Left home, and they were thrown out as "tatty old comics" in my absence! Wish I still had them, 1-10 were MINT and the first 3 still had the free gifts FFS! Zarjaz indeed...

All my exam certificates. Not on purpose either, I was decluttering too enthusiastically. It took months to get replacements, good thing I wasn't job hunting, I had no proof of any of my qualifications.

Mother's Milk Trilogy by Edward St Aubyn, I never read it & now I want to.

A pale blue-grey chiffon blouse with a pussy bow my mum wore in the 80s. I knew it would come back into fashion eventually...

My mum threw out her original Beatles records when she got married, they'd be worth a fair bit now!

The thing I regret throwing out most, and this is going to sound stupid, is a list of books I had read going back to 1982. I put it on a database and threw out the original list. My computer crashed and I lost the list. It meant a lot to me as I am a bit obsessive about books and I could look back and see what books I was reading, say, the year my sons were born etc.

    Okay I know I'm weird.:o

When I got married I threw out a box full of memories...photos/letters/nick nacks.

I wish I'd kept them all as each thing I had meant something to me.

When my parents moved house they threw out all of their old records which unfortunately included a lot of old Elvis songs including one which had Jailhouse Rock on one side and Dixieland Rock on the other. Worth a lot of money now.

They also threw out all my original Beatles magazines
