I would never do it but then I don't even have any interest in fathering a child.

Given the pain threshold of most men we'd all be single child families.

Articial wombs will lead to greater freedoms. Harvest sperm and eggs while young and have babies in your twilight years for want of something to do.

Holographic parenting will continue long after the flesh parents have died. Downloading knowledge and help from family data banks will be the norm.

Some people maintain they are born as men in women's bodies, and I have a very limited appreciation of that from DS. So it's not the hypothetical or absurd question it appears.

    Arse-licker:p

I imagine that the transexuals would be up for it. In fact, that would be pretty good evidence for believing that you really were a woman in a man's body as opposed to just liking wearing dresses and getting doors opened for you.:D

It's a hypothetical question and my answer would be a resounding no. Too many macho and butch men turn into whimpering boobies when they have finger ache, they'd never get through the contractions considering that they believe they're dying when they have a sore throat and a bit of snot. :D

Look, I've seen Alien and it's quite possible for a baby to grow in a man's chest.

:D:D It's an old adage but true, ask a stupid question and you'll get a stupid answer. I'm trying to think of something stupid ... can't .. oh well, stupid is as stupid does, I suppose.

Hell no. I don't like children and I don't like pain. There's really nothing I could gain from such a situation. ;)

Yes I would if it meant i would have the same blatantly biased rights that mothers now enjoy when it comes to child custody.

Where's the foetus going to gestate? You going to keep it in a box?

I've been flippant on this thread but your post has hit a nerve, and rightly so. There are times when the father would be a better parent for a child but the courts seem to favour the mother, wrongly in some cases.

Whatever your circumstances, and I sense that you've been wronged, I pray that the law sees sense and looks at both sides more deeply than they seem to do at present.

They certainly wouldn't go through hours (sometimes days) of labour, ie pooing the baby out. It would be C section's under general anaesthetic and none of this "Ooh I didn't even have gas and air" bragging nonsense that women do to make each other feel inadiquate.
