He has a bizarre look about him, does Matt Snith. He is capable of facial expressions I really don't think suit him, but generally... well lets just say I was glad to see Matt in 'Christopher and his Kind' rather than say, Tennant. Smith is very attractive in his unconventionality, whilst I just found Tennant boring to look at.
Having been lucky enough to meet the guy, I would say it's the fact that he's naturally rather charming and endearing that makes him more attractive. He's got that elusive 'something'.
Well, he's sort of one of those people whoe are so conventionally fugly that there just is something beautiful about him. And he has that melting smile. However his face only goes with certain haircuts. Similar case as Benedict Cumberbatch in this aspect.
Well, I'm quite used to that. After all I believe there's a long line people judging us all for finding Matt Smith attractive, especially those who haven't seen him in Doctor Who or in his interviews.;)
What has this got to do with the show? They should go back to a older actor.
heres the thing though: the female companions are very often judged on their attractiveness and in the past how they looked was generally more important than how they acted. Certainly there have been a lot of comments and threads down the years on this subject.
Yet someone mentions the attractiveness of The Doctor and people get annoyed about it. There really is a big double standard in this regard in fandom - that it's okay to fancy the companions, but heaven forbid that anyone should start a thread saying they fancy the doctor....
I think he's attractive in the same way that Tom Baker was attractive. He has that madness look about him and I think it's only the Doctor role he plays that makes him attractive. Outside of DW I would never find him attractive. IMO the MOST attractive Doctors have been 1. Paul McGann 2. David Tennant and 3. Peter Davison.
Actually I for example find him attractive as Matt Smith and not in character as the Doctor. His Doctor is too grandfatherish/five year old for that IMO.
I find him endearing and charming and like the way he portrays the Doctor ( however it did take me a while to warm to him ) but i dont swoon over him at all
DT was and I magine always will be the compete package for me
I am also rather partial to Paul Mcgann and wish he had got a series to develop his doctor ( loved his outfit and hair )
Peter Davison was also a very good looking Doctor but thats my bias he was my Doctor and my1st crush
I wouldn't class him as attractive or unattractive - just sort of average. I think a lot of the attraction comes from the fact that he's famous and in a high profile role rather than his actual looks.
Sone people are very fickle. I find it hard to believe people would look twice at the guy before he became famous, now he's conveniently attractive.
I refer you to Amy Ponds 'Their face sort of becomes them' speech. Matt has unconventional looks (though he's by no means ugly) but he has a warm charming personality and that shows through.
I found this topic because girls are always saying that I look like him!
I hate the comparison. I think he's a bit ugly, and I think I am too, so it really hits home when people tell me I look like him, lol.
Can't work out what it is about his(an mine!) face that I dislike. I think it's a mixture of the wide nose, deep set eyes, and somthing to do with the lower jaw...
I think he's got a fascinating face...different angles catch him looking...um..different. (yeah, I know...very deep!) Hard for me to describe but sometimes he can look boyish, then as old as the hills in a moment. He's quite 'angular' so the lighting can change his 'look' from scene to scene. Brilliant 'face' for a Doctor...and I remember remarking on his hands after seeing the first interview when he was announced as 11. Very expressive...and he uses them to great effect in the role.
I like that he clearly doesn't mind when references to chins and noses are incorporated into the scripts! (To be fair, they did that with Christopher E too in 'Empty Child'..."I've got magic ears" "Is you're nose magic too?" or something like that)
I don't consider myself photogenic - but think I scub up ok in real life.
I think Matt Smith is exactly the same in that respect. I see a static photo of him and he's all angles and forehead - but to see him in motion - I physically long for him he's so beautiful.
Comments
DT is WAY too skinny for my liking.
Strangely I find the fact that DT looks skinnier than an anorexic girl somewhat attractive, lol.
That...is weird. I'm judging you now.

Matt Smith has a lovely face and big hands. Big hands are always promising!

SO SHOCKED!!! lol My innocence has no chance in this den of sin!
Though, you're not wrong!
If there's a tone, I always try to lower it
I like you. You've got moxie!

It does to me ! I think the exact same thing.

You know what after Matt i would say Paul is the second sexiest looking Time lord...personally....
Also...going with yer pic there...i have see Toms, Chris, Pauls and Davids Sonics ....come on Matt...whenever yer ready
