Fantastic soulful/R&B singer from Ireland. She's had a little bit of success in the US but nothing in the UK. She really is a hidden gem. There's something Alicia Keys about her, but perhaps that's down to the piano playing

Bumping because there are a few albums I really like that I know are completely unknown.
The first is an electronica album from 1995 called Freedom, of which there were only 800 copies ever printed.
Some fine folk have uploaded tracks to youtube, here's one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ncEBmfJ0ekQ
The second is from a 1996 groove/funk band called Eucalyptus. This album is so rare, there is no reference to it online at all. Well, until now, since I just uploaded the album to soundcloud... I got sick of waiting for someone else to do it. http://soundcloud.com/mrkite77/02-battle-of-the-bands
I'm really into European minimal synth music from the late 70s/early 80s. If you like early Gary Numan, Ultravox etc. you'll love this stuff. There's a great online radio station newwaveclassics.com that plays a lot of this stuff along with the more familiar music from that time.

One of my favourite bands ever. From Australia, been together 10 years now and still virtually unknown over here. Such an infectious mix of ska, jazz, funk, and latin music, their gigs are incredible. Seeing them for the third time in four years in December.

Thanks  Just found it. I'll listen to the previews again. I was quite impressed by some of the previews I'd already heard.

The drummer, Lee Farmery, about 12 years ago, was in the band that gave me my internet username
