  Here are the rules for the season. Any questions then fire away please.
  
  Stake - We will start as usual with a mythical 300 points and bets will either be 10 WIN or 5 EW. Your winnings will be added to your 300 and your losses deducted.
  
  Race - The race each Saturday will normally be the richest race of the day. However, this rule will be slightly flexible when it comes to big meetings.
  
  Each Way - EW places will be as per most bookmakers for handicaps ( 2 places in fields of less than 7, 3 places in fields of 8-15 inclusive and 4 places for fields of 16 or over ) but only for handicaps remember. And EW will ALWAYS be a 1/4 of the odds.
  
  Missing a race - Like previous years, if you miss a race a 25 point deduction will be incurred. However, if you know you will miss a race ( due to holiday etc ) then you can either chose in advance a horse number or say select the 2nd fav or message me with your choice. This way you will always be in play.
  
  I HIGHLY RECOMMEND DOING THE ABOVE AND YOU WILL NEVER MISS A RACE. ONE QUICK PM IS ALL YOU NEED.
  
  Non Runner - If you select a horse that is a NR your selection will go onto the favourite. So if your original selection was ew it will go ew on the fav and so on. In the case of co or joint favourites then it will be the lowest racecard number.
  
  The season will start this coming Saturday
  Start will be the 2000 Guineas this Saturday 2nd May
  End will be the November Handicap on Saturday 7th November

  Cup Competition
  
  We will introduce a cup competition to the flat racing comp this year for the first time
  
  Dependent on numbers but i am guessing we will need 5 rounds
  
  Last 32 ( including byes ) - Dante Stakes, York - Thursday 14th May
  Last 16 - The Investec Oaks, Epsom - Friday 5th June
  Quarter Final - Gold Cup, Ascot - Thursday 18th June
  Semi Final - Qipco Sussex Stakes, Goodwood - Wednesday 29th July
  Final - The Juddmonte International Stakes, York - Wednesday 19th August
  
  The cup competition will take the form of 2 picks in this race - Like the recent NH comp it will be based on the positions of these horses. So if you horse comes 1st and 9th you score 10 points. If your opponents horses came 1st and 6th he would score 7 points and therefore be the winner. ( i did think of doing it similar to the regular flat comp but i fear we will get too many draws )
