Evening all and TGIF. Once more I've been kindly asked to fill in, so without further aloo here's tonight's tales of interest:
First half:
If you can withstand the first 30:

Janice's "flame" Mike dies. ^_^
Oh Sinead!
Tonight's episode appears to be Tinker heavy. As we saw last week, Sinead fears she'll never walk again. But this is Corrie, and miracles do happen. Put her expectant recovery to a poll...
Enjoy.
First half:
Katy takes Max to the café to give David a break, but while her back is turned, Max runs out of the door.
Outside, Katy finds Max chatting to a stranger. The man introduces himself as Callum and assures Katy that he and Max go way back. What is Callum up to?
Meanwhile, Eva confides in Todd that she and Tony are planning to view some flats behind Jason's back. When they find the right one, they plan to show it to Jason in the hope that he'll change his mind and allow Tony to give them the deposit. Todd listens, with an evil plan forming in his mind. Knowing Tony and Eva are in the flat, Todd encourages Jason to pop home. As Tony and Eva go over flat details, Jason walks in and demands to know what they're playing at…
Elsewhere, Maddie is furious when Norris short-changes her, but he refuses to hand over the money and insists that she's lying. Discovering the till is up, Rita returns the money to Maddie. Will Norris issue an apology?
Also, Steve tells Michelle how he can't forgive himself for the fact that Sinead might never walk again. When Michelle later asks him to run an errand for her, Steve gets in his car but suffers a panic attack, admitting to Tyrone that he's too frightened to drive. Chesney wades in shoves Steve, blaming him for Sinead's injuries and demanding some answers. Awash with guilt and self-loathing, will Steve be able to defend himself?

If you can withstand the first 30:
Sinead is depressed, convinced that she'll never walk again and will end up being a burden to Chesney. Beth assures her that she'll never be a burden and she needs to start thinking more positively. When Chesney arrives at the hospital with Agnes in tow, Sinead is lifted to see her great grandmother. As Chesney sits on Sinead's bed, he lays a hand on her leg and Sinead is convinced she can feel something. Is she on the road to recovery?
At the same time, Steve attends his first session with the therapist. Initially he's nervous, but eventually he opens up and admits how he feels he has let everyone down and blames himself for the minibus crash.
Meanwhile, quickly covering the flat details, Eva makes out that Tony gave her a lift back from town and she invited him in for a beer by way of thanks. Jason is mollified but later confides in Todd that he's convinced they were keeping something from him. Todd takes the opportunity to stir things and suggests it's good they get on so well and spend so much time together. Jason mulls over Todd's words, his jealousy growing…
Elsewhere, Sophie distracts Norris whilst Maddie picks up Norris's mobile and dials the speaking clock. Norris remains blissfully unaware of their prank. Norris is furious to discover his mobile is connected to the speaking clock. Maddie and Sophie fall about laughing.
Also, Anna and Owen row over his constant digs at Gary.
Finally, Katy drops Max back with David and tells him about Callum's visit. David is uneasy.

Hello there Cobbleheads ;-)
In a meeting at 3pm on Monday and not sure what time it will finish so I'll post the thread some time between 2pm & 2:45pm
Hi all!
The end of January is approaching so now is the time to start thinking about your team for February’s Corrie Challenge game.
Don’t worry if you have played before. The game is a bit like a simplified version of Fantasy Football so if you fancy having a go just read the rules below. And, if you're an Emmerdale viewer you can play the Emmerdale version of the game. Just check out any of this week's "Emmerdaily" thread for instructions.
Anyway, it’s a very easy game to play. The object of the game is to pick a team of 11 characters from those listed below which you think will score the more points than the other people playing the game.
Once you’ve whittled your shortlist down to 11 characters you will then need to nominate one of them as Captain. This character will have their score doubled so you’re really looking to identify the character which you think will score the most points during the month to maximise your chances of winning.
Then, simply post your choices on the thread or send them to me via PM, and keep an eye out for the Monday Episode Thread to see how your “team” is doing in the score updates.
The scoring system works as follows:-
+ 1 point per episode appearance
+ 1 point for the character that speaks the first words in the episode.
+ 1 point for the character that speaks the last words in the episode before the break.
+ 1 point for the character that speaks the first words in the episode after the break
+ 1 point for the character that speaks the last words in the episode.
+ 1 point for any kisses on the lips. If you have both characters who kiss in your team each character will receive a point.
+ 2 bonus points for any character that appears in 5 or more episodes during the week. In the event of any episodes being transmitted on a weekend the week will run from Monday to Sunday.
+ Remember that your team Captain gets their score doubled!!!
Once you’ve done all that you can also pick a name for your team. This will be listed in the Score Updates.
Your “Starting List” for February’s Corrie Challenge is as follows:-
• Remember you need to select ELEVEN characters (including a captain) – no more, no less.
