A little bit early, but the results are in from what was probably the hardest round so far. There are some BIG names leaving us here, and I suspect some of them will be quite controversial. Ready?

Top 41 – Round 2 Results
01. Janine Butcher (13.23%)
02. Dot Branning (7.99%)
03. Angie Watts (7.36%)
04. Frank Butcher (6.77%)
05. Kat Moon (5.88%)
06. Peggy Mitchell (5.75%)
=07. Pauline Fowler (5.62%)
=07. Steve Owen (5.62%)
09. Zainab Khan (5.37%)
10. Ronnie Mitchell (5.24%)
11. Shirley Carter (4.86%)
12. Phil Mitchell (4.02%)
13. Dennis Rickman (3.64%)
14. Ethel Skinner (3.42%)
15. Kathy Mitchell (3.38%)
16. Denise Fox (3.34%)
17. Bradley Branning (3.26%)
18. Arthur Fowler (3.09%)
19. Lou Beale (1.44%)
20. Whitney Dean (0.72%)

Interestingly, especially considering Kat’s fairly high position, both she and Ronnie would not have made it, had I asked you just to pick your favourite ten, instead we would be seeing close runners up Phil and Shirley make it through.

It was so close though, with only 21 points between Shirley and Kat, though.

Janine absolutely ran away with the vote claiming the top spot a massive 19 times, and the second place 7 times.

The results of this round leave us with our Final 20:

1st Quarter Final
Ian Beale
Dot Branning
Stacey Branning
Frank Butcher
Janine Butcher
Pat Evans
Pauline Fowler
Zainab Khan
Carol Jackson
Grant Mitchell
Peggy Mitchell
Ronnie Mitchell
Kat Moon
Michael Moon
Steve Owen
Sharon Rickman
Jean Slater
Angie Watts
Den Watts
David Wicks

12 women, 8 men. What do you think? Representative of the best 20 characters in the show’s history? Any characters missing? Well, there’s nothing we can do about that, but if there are any characters that shouldn’t be there, now is your chance to kick them out.

From the list of 20 above, pick your four LEAST favourite.

The four characters with the most votes will be eliminated from the competition completely.

Voting closes at 6pm on Saturday 26th April
