My problem is sending mails via Outlook. Okay this morning, crap now.

Had to go to the Virgin website to get a mail sent.

Probably only temporary; but still, shabby service since their "bright, shiny upgrade" to an otherwise perfect system!

I'm receiving emails fine just unable to send anything - failed this morning and still unable to send when I tried just now
Tried the VM Service Status pages and they are reporting no problems in my region

i know this is not outlook connected post but still i simply just gave up on window's mail email client and just check google-mail, blueyonder (google client) and windows live 1 at a time now, it just wasn't worth the hastle, resetting all the setting every couple of month's, up until they brought out virgin-mail email client app everything was o.k.

While I'm posting i might as well have my little junk mail blueyonder rant,no junk mail with google mail but blueyonder's google app, ahrg! sick of filtering junk mail 1 by 1 just seem's pointless and never ending,i know it quicker just to delete the lot in one click ,but thought trying to filter would have some kind of effect eventually.

I know i brought it on myself signing up for newsletter's ect,and pointless crap i never use ie social networking site's that i've now disabled,oh well my ignorance did cause it i suppose so can't point any fingers ,lesson learnt just wish google's blueyonder filter actually worked

Have been unable to send email via NTL for 2 days now... having tried speaking to Virgin before to solve problems, I know it's a total waste of time =( I've spent so long in the past changing settings non stop only to have it just start working again when they fix the problem n their end (which if you ring up about they never admit to)...it's getting silly now.

Yeah thanks Niggle, guess we should be used to this by now...the worst bit are the days before Virgin admit they have problems and leave you ringing up their "helpline", only to be told there is no problem and it must be something wrong with your computer...grrrrr....

I've given up and routed my smtp through an alternative which I am lucky enough to have access to. It's really not good enough this keeps happening every few months. I wouldn't mind so much if you could get any sense out of their helpline.

Came back last night, now it is gone again ! Just spoke to Tech Supp[ort in ENGALND (!!!) and they said the problem seems to have reocurred and they are getting tons of phone calls reporting it. No timescales yet, as only just aware of it !

Surely if you run a web business you wouldn't rely on a free email service provided by your ISP.

not free and it was already in place before the business.

Enquired about moving to business and we would loose all our email addresses !
