Cars and football, my eyes glaze over the moment someone brings either up.

Other people's kids. Mine is genuinely the funniest, smartest wee person you could meet. Other folk's? Meh.

I don't believe in boredom, it's a state of mind. Even the thoughts in my head are interesting enough to entertain me if I've a quiet moment with nothing much to do. There's always something to do, let's face it, especially in this day and age.

My Dad used to tell me off as a kid for sitting staring into space, saying 'if you're bored, go and do something'. I'd reply that I wasn't bored at all, as I always had thoughts in my head.

    :p

    Boars (wild pigs).
They'd chase the ball through the streets, thump and kick and trample each other, to get the ball. Then the game itself became more civilised, and it was the spectators who turned into violent thugs!

Sums up football to a tee, or was it golf.

    =

    People that find cricket boring.

That is not what this thread is about though.

I am never bored, partly because I avoid the things I find boring.

Breathing. It gets a bit predictable after a while. We should do it like insects.

People who talk about beauty and make up, or go into lots of details about their kids and things like that.

    Period dramas.

    'Girly movies'/'chick flicks' often.

    Pretty much all sports.

    X Factor/The Voice etc.

    People talking about weddings(!).

    People talking about cats :o

Current chart music sometimes lol the bland stuff.

    Life :p haha

    Any sport involving a ball.

Sport needs engines to be interesting!

Be glad you don't have my dental routine, including an interspace brush, 2x flossers and an interdental brush as well as mouthrinse and the 'regular' electric toothbrush. Tedium beyond belief. I believe its supposed to be two and a half minutes for the basic brush with a toothbrush by the way but I could be wrong. I probably don't last that long myself.

    Me too.

That's why I never do it and just pick the excess plaque off with my fingers. :kitty:

Celebrities going on about their ailments in a bid for sympathy.
I don't mind if someone has an actual story to tell. Terry Pratchett on Alzheimers or Ian Banks on pancreatic cancer were moving interviews.

But I remember Katie Price's cancer horror scare drama (can't remember what noun was actually used, so I have used all of them) that was all over the magazines. She had something wrong with her finger as I recall. It seemed to have no repercussions at all.

:D Ha ha ha. I always felt exactly like that.

My friend going on about her latest 'boyfriend' breakup!! We have both been single since 1994 and she has been desperate to meet someone and 'settle down' again since then!...

She does meet men and starts relationships but we always get the same scenario of the 'end' of the romance!, and after all these years i know and could recite every word before she even tells me!.....

I feel bad about it but i really can't be bothered to listen to it all nowadays and i'm afraid don't give her so much opportunities to start telling me it all!...
