  That's one of the reason's I'm hoping he's safe. Doug would make sense, if
  

  Ste is in a coma and wakes up to find that Doug has died, this would eventually lead the way to 'Stendan' getting back together...

  I went for Jono, mainly because I thought he would definitely be a goner! I also think it would link into the whole Bart guilt story that no doubt will follow (both his mates dying and he drove off) and also the Esther bullying - Jono a hero in Sinead and Ruby's eyes for saving them and after Maddies declaration before being flattened, they blame her.

  Well the spoilers refer to a 'much loved couple' so I think that rules out Ruby and Jono, or Doug and Ste (besides, we all know Doug and Ste are safe )
  
  So I reckon that leaves Jack and Frankie, Tony and Cindy or Darren and Nancy.
  
  If the death is meant to be a casualty of the crash, I think it's going to be either Jack or Tony.
  
  Tony's death would probably be the most dramatic, and have most impact, so sadly I think it might be him

  maybe they have it so that the bitch & the nobody is in a morturary many a mile out of HO,But the mcqueens decide to to bring Rhys to the village morturary (surley there is a village mortuay with the ammount of deaths!)
  
  i know its a long shot but im just thinking about every path HO Could take (another one being that we start seing the ghosts of the dead come back - in a way that is death returing to the village)
