Waterloo Road Vs Grange Hill

Tonights Waterloo road really showed going back to the pupils roots like they use to in grange Hill speaking in the same way. I dont think there has ever been a thread comparing the two.

How do you think they compare based on tonights episode which has started as a clean state? I feel that its got that 2001-2005 feel before it went all kiddish foccusing on year 7.

I have to admit, I have thought Waterloo Road as the new Grange Hill.

and I have to say - even though it will probably get complaints - It was actually quite realistic to here the words - Piss and Bollocks.

But it never really had the Grange Hill feel to it till now. I think it maybe due to the boarding house along with focussing on the backstories before they reached the school gates

Do you mean that Waterloo Road now has the feel of how Grange Hill was in 2001-2005. I was going to say Waterloo Road didn't start until 2006!

Grange Hill=Iconic
Waterloo Road =Rubbish

WR has been ruined. The last series was terrible but my lord last nights episode was crap. I don't buy the whole moving school thing. Too Many new Characters and not much seemed to happen. That guy (Drew) was such a terrible actor
i cringed at the scene with Tom.

I personally don't see this show being on much longer and it's just going down the same route as The Bill,Londons Burning,Dream team which were all popular in their 'Hey Day' but had changes to the cast/set ect and people turned off.

I expect around 4million tuned in last night and would be very surpised if they return next week.
