Should there be an Animalympics?

My idea is that there should be a wide range of animal events in a variety of disciplines.

The rather obvious ones include horse racing and the existing equestrian events already available at the Olympics/Paralympics.

Which other events would you like to see?

Would be an ok idea I guess as long as there are no cruel bloodsports like fox hunting or bear baiting

Horse racing is the one sport where the horse itself wins the prize, not the trainer, jockey or owner who are deemed somewhat incidental. The trophy is given to the owner but it is the horse's name which is engraved on it

I like the animal sports theme. Quite a few of those already, as mentioned.

Someone's come up with various ways of making sports even more inclusive.

Criminalympics - for convicted criminals only. Could be some logistical issues, and of taste. "And in lane 1, nearing the end of his sentence for assaulting a postmistress, and with a PB of 10.15..."

Psycholympics - competitors must be certified psychopaths, although not currently in custody or under criminal investigation (at the start of competition). "And we go over live to the indoor shooting range... and... oh no! Have you ever seen anything like that! But that's another medal for Team GB! He's guaranteed a bronze!" Bang! "No, it's going to be silver" He's really having to work for this!"

Bipolarlympics - "And he's got his head in his hands, he looks distraught. As soon as he threw that he sat down as if the weight of the world was on his shoulders. That must mean... yes, I thought so, it's a world record! It's come up on the board! And he looks visibly quite distressed now..."

Uptheduffolympics - "And she's put down the banana and marmite mixture, that must mean she's ready for her final jump. No wait, she's talking to her mother on the telephone... her coach is now on the runway, he's brought a chair and a copy of Hello... we may have to return in a few minutes..."

Our old girl would have to be in the para-animalympics.

A couple of sports that exist for real are dog frisbee, dog obstacle course runs and rabbit show-jumping.
