Stars to boost auditions
Simon Cowell is lining up a host of top singers as special guests for The X Factor auditions to boost ratings.
Robbie Williams, Ronan Keating, Paula Abdul and Mel B are among those in the frame, as is Charlotte Church who impressed on BBC's Over The Rainbow on Saturday.
Dannii Minogue will not be at this year's auditions as she is due to give birth in July.
So, Cowell believes getting big name stars in will create a buzz about the show and pull in even more viewers. A source said: "The stars would attend all the auditions days in one city each. It would create an extra buzz and make the initial shows even more exciting. Simon thought it worked well on American Idol, so it is something he is willing to try."
Dannii's future seems less certain, although yesterday on Twitter she denied she had been axed.

She is keen to take part, but Cowell is thought to be unsure if she could mentor a group of singers if she is not at the audition stages.
The source added: "It is difficult to know if Dannii wants a big role until after she has her baby. The situation could be up in the air a while yet."
Judges Louis Walsh and Cheryl Cole are said to be re-signing next month.
A spokeswoman for Simon said: "He is incredibly supportive of Dannii."
