Anyone remember not too long ago when TATU were singing for Russia, and there was all sorts of plans in place to cut the cameras away if they even dared kiss each other?

How times move forwards..

To think Turkey wouldn't show the pre show video.
I wonder if that scene was blocked tonight?.
Nil points from Istanbul i guess.

Turkey are not showing the contest at all. Not voting either.

This puts me in mind of a statement made by Berlusconi (ex Italian PM) that Italy will never host a gay wedding.

Italy will host a gay wedding, they may just be last in Europe to do so, bringing yet more shame upon their nation, through no fault of the people, but of the religious institutions and the inactive politicians. I'm an English teacher in Italy and the people are not religious and very liberal-thinking, so don't judge Turkish people by the control religion and politics exerts over their nation.

Turkey being a secular country this is disappointing actually yet they allow abortion but not a same sex kiss? homosexuality is not even illegal in Turkey.

Never let these into the EU!

Yep, Ken Bruce said that entry wasn't being shown in Turkey because of the kiss.

No one is judging them. But they put they voted for the people in charge.
Turkey should be banned from next years contest.

I think the song was very cheesy but catchy, the kind of thing that used to win Eurovision before politics took over. It's one of the few songs I didn't fast forward, but just because the girl singing it reminded me so much of a slightly older Natasha from Neighbours.:D

But this thread is not about the music, but about two hot looking females kissing each other. And quite frankly,I am all for it! It was the highlight of the night for me.;)

As far as fake lesbian kisses go,it was a hundred times better than Madonna/Britney or the Cruel Intentions crap. They were so in your face staged that they lacked any emotion or reality. At least these two looked like they genuinely enjoyed it.Altough probably not as much as me...:)

It's not all that long since it would never have been shown on UK television. God, we must have been savages then too.

There was more of a build up to tATu, partially due to it being Russia and partially due to the duo were well known Europe wide.

    They came third, didn't they?

Lol, that actually made me laugh! Lesbo kissing NO! Get that anal sex tape and we'll show that instead of Eurovision.

I actually thought the performance overall was good and sounded fun and catchy in the final and it was much more than just being about a kiss at the end of it.
