£180 is quite a high price and definitely in the escort category. Street prostitutes you looking around £50.

So the unofficial difference between an escort and a prostitute is price.

I found that desperately sad to read, particularly the description of how it all started and how it made her feel.

She's obviously had some anger-related disorder since childhood, and her life as a prostitute being used that way would only have added to it.

This doesn't excuse her behaviour but for me, it goes some way to explaining it.

Your thread and OP read like you've only just worked out that prostitutes have sex with men for money.

What were you expecting- 'I'm an ex prostitute and all this involved was doing nothing whilst watching the cash roll in'?

Did you read the article?

She was signed up with and escort agency and prostituted herself to clients and gave the agency their cut.

Yup. A very damaged individual who damaged herself further despite good intentions. I still don't like her, but at least I'm starting to understand a little (and to feel a little sorry for her,despite her horrible behaviour in the house)
