Hardly surprising, I have always said that if I was going to get a Tablet it would be an iPad as they are often said to be the best. But after using one I decided that I would never buy one.
All I was trying to do is save a PDF file onto it so my Uncle (who's iPad it was) could view it at home himself rather than ringing me and asking me to look at it.
The same with an iPhone, to do most things it is counter-intuitive.
91% of iPhone owners intended to buy another iPhone.
76% of Android owners intended to buy another Android phone.
Wonder what the sample was and where it took place.
Edit:- Ignore. Found it.
Thing is, these figures mean next to nothing. Completely meaningless in fact. This survey was done in the States. Worldwide, these figures wouldn't apply which is what you want to look at. Not 1 area!!

It has to be said, If your're going to struggle with something simple like this on an iPad or iPhone then you're bound to struggle with the Android or any type of tablet right now
No wonder calico didn't provide the link to the actual poll but merely an article reporting on it. Pathetic, really. Would have been far more honest to post this link:
This is a bit of a Apples ( excuse the pun ) v Oranges comparison as you're not really comparing like for like.
Apple is unique as they produce the hardware and software which only runs on their devices, Android is a mobile OS run by many device manufacturers, from £50 junk tablets to high end smartphones.
This just proves that the mobile phone market is moving from standard phones to smart phones. At the lower end of the market I reckon a lot of people don't even realise they have a smartphone.
Apple could easily get a bigger market share in the short term if they wanted by releasing much cheaper phones and computers. They could even allow 3rd parties to run the Operating systems but this just isn't going to happen as it would lead to the the brand being weakened in the long term.
It's all about the way they market the brand and also put fashion and design in the mix. If I were an Apple investor my concern wouldn't be about the market share of the iPhone but what if any innovative products are in the pipeline. I think we Haven't seen any game changers since Jobs died.
Windows is still a bit part player in all of this right now.
Samsung has become so successful because they have concentrated on the marketing like Apple and made the Galaxy phone brand very desirable and recognisable.

Don't have one then so we can scrub that daft statement.
As 21% of all smartphones sales in q313 were phablets that means around 25% of all android sales were phablets added to your claim of 66% costing £139 or under makes 91%.
You therefore would have us believe according to you that the HTC One, HTC mini, s4 mini, s3 mini, ace 3, nexus, s3, xperia sp, xperia t, moto x etc etc account for only 9% of the android market?
No facts, no research all based on apple insider back of the **** packet calculations, you really are becoming a joke on here.
Based on actual IDC numbers as I have shown above clearly very wrong  I love the apple propaganda sites they rubbish anything that doesn't fit the agenda, it seems even windows phone numbers are wrong.
Erm...well considering there is an overlap between the iPhone 5C and the price of some high end Android devices, particularly on contract, if people were only buying Android devices "because they are cheap", as some people are suggesting, surely there would have been a surge in 5C sales.
There hasn't been. In fact the iPhone 5C has made zero impact on Android's growth. Both Android and Windows Phone are growing significantly, but Apple has stagnated.
This dominance is seen across all major markets in both shipments, market share and OS market share. It is ignoring the facts to discredit Android's success.
The idea that the number of people who buy phones of any price is greater than the number of people who by expensive high end phones.
That much seems completely obvious, and not nonsense at all.
I will tell you what's nonsense, by the way I can see no reference to your $225 there at all. What apple insider have done is remove from the equation all phablet phones and apple phones and average out the the remaining revenue for the 66% of sales remaining.
So firstly this does not mean android phones it is all phones and is secondly an average selling price of all remaining phones. Some phones sell for £20,£30 etc meaning additional revenue goes to other phones raising their price in the average.
If they're trying to come up with an average figure for Android phones, they would exclude your phablets and iPhones. Otherwise you'd have an average figure for all devices.
Do you agree or disagree with this statement:
The number of people who buy phones of any price is greater than the number of people who by expensive high end phones.

Seems to support previous figures suggesting this trend:

How do they know? I assume they carried out a poll and asked people. Its quite common.
All I was trying to do is save a PDF file onto it so my Uncle (who's iPad it was) could view it at home himself rather than ringing me and asking me to look at it.
The same with an iPhone, to do most things it is counter-intuitive.
From the second link above, their results were:
91% of iPhone owners intended to buy another iPhone.
76% of Android owners intended to buy another Android phone.
Wonder what the sample was and where it took place.
Edit:- Ignore. Found it.

Perhaps we should get a similar poll conducted when a major Android phone is launched?
and do it in Spain, where compared to the global market share the market is skewed to Android

Why? What's the difference? The data is the same. Why is it "pathetic"?
As it is, I bothered to find a link that wasn't an Apple related site.
Would it be churlish to remind you how many times you've suggested I use Google?
Pot.Kettle. And all that.

I just made it up.
Here's my analysis:
The number of people who buy phones of any price is greater than the number of people who by expensive high end phones.
And that's the main reason Android's market share is how high, rather than people choosing Android over iOS.
That much should be pretty obvious, and not at all surprising.
Again, it's meaningless. Complete nonsense since those figures are only for the US. What about the rest of the planet?
Looks like, you are serious yeah
No facts, no research all based on apple insider back of the **** packet calculations, you really are becoming a joke on here.

What's nonsense exactly?
The idea that the number of people who buy phones of any price is greater than the number of people who by expensive high end phones.
That much seems completely obvious, and not nonsense at all.

Therefore your
Is completely and utterly wrong yes?
Pure and utter nonsense are you prepared to concede this?
It's complete nonsense since it pertains to one area only in the states. The rest of the planet may not buy phones in the same way.
Do you agree or disagree with this statement:
The number of people who buy phones of any price is greater than the number of people who by expensive high end phones.
Now again do you still maintain your statement
is correct or not? or concede (as has be demonstrated) it is complete and utter nonsense?
