    As someone mentioned, many shows these days have a very short (5 to 10 seconds) jingle as the theme. The one for the new Beauty and the Beast with Kristin (Lana Lang) Kreuk is disappointing, but I mentioned in the thread about the show that The Mentalist theme jingle is outstanding, especialy with the way they build it (mixed in with the dialogue) up to the main part.

    I think the worst ones are the shows that use classic songs instead of composing one specially, is it CSI that uses a Who song?

    The Law & Order theme, from the original series. In the early seasons, it was really quite long, but they shortened it after a while. Anyway, it's the only show where I don't fast-forward through the theme tune.

    OMG same! I love every Law & Order (US) franchise's theme song, as well as of course the opening narration! :D
