I second that sentiment, I don't care how talented, gifted, or award winning that Cash is, his abominable voice and northern accent is enough to make me yearn for terminal deafness.
I sometimes wonder if someone of his ilk, with the same strangulated tones was with Captain Scott's ill fated expedition in 1912, causing Captain Oates to walk off to his death in -40 temperatures, rather than stay in the tent and suffer the anguish of listening to it.

I can recall a live Chess game shown one night on BBC2, with Bill presenting - it went on for literally hours & hours! (so assume it was live). Shown late 1980's or even early 90's.
OMG hubby has just said that the Jose guy loves playing mind games with us when he is being interviewed. Apparently he has a degree in psychology so definately knows what to do or say..lol
