Thanks for posting these links. :) As you say the acoustics at the RAH suit Will's voice down to the ground.

Just bringing this thread up to date on all things Will Young.:D
Starting with, Will released I Just Want A Lover as the 4th and last single from his 6th Album (5th Studio) "Echoes", sadly it didn't do anything in the singles chart without the airplay support from the bigger radio stations, but the album benefited with a rise of 48 places and it helped to push this years sales so far to over 100,000.
Bringing the total sales since the release of "Echoes" last August to a very impressive 482,500 sold.
Congratulations to Will on the end of his recent sold out Forest Tour and also for standing in at such short notice on Saturday night for a poorly Tom Jones in Hyde Park and who wowed the 50,000 crowd.
Will's next acting role is the role of "Emcee" in the stage production of Cabaret.

    Review from Hyde Park.
A few hours later Newton Faulkner was followed by Will Young, who was a more than adequate stand-in for Sir Tom Jones. Any disappointment some members of the audience may have felt, I’m sure were short-lived, as Will Young staged a very entertaining show. He treated his audience to all his greatest hits that everyone could sing along to including, ‘Changes’, ‘Who am I’, ‘Light my Fire’, ‘Your Game’, ‘Leave Right Now’ and ‘Jealousy’. Accompanied by a band and backing singers, Young took to the stage like a real showman and delivered an energetic and exciting performance. During his set, he teased the audience that he had a costume underneath his attire which he would reveal by the end of the show. Throughout his performance he gradually stripped off, sending the audience crazy and filling Hyde Park full of the screams and cheers to reveal his costume, a vintage style running outfit, to keep with the Olympics and the theme of his video ‘Jealousy’, which he closed his set with. All I can say is, Will Young is a dark horse and certainly took me by surprise, in terms of live performance.

Cabaret has now ended and for his acting portrayal as "Emcee" in Cabaret, Will is up for a What's On Stage theatre award as best newcomer, he will be attending the awards on the 17th of February, so good luck to him for that.:)
This month Will and his fans are celebrating his 11 successful years as a singer and actor since winning Pop Idol on the night of 9th Feb 2002.
Since starting his career Will has so far released 6 albums, all being platinum or multi platinum, two of them "Friday's Child" and "Keep On" were million sellers.
He's won countless awards over the years and from his 10 Brit nominations so far, 4 he's managed to win 2 Brit awards.
This year Will is due to release his 7th album and hopefully another tour to promote it.:D

    Hurray, he won!!:D

    Another award under his belt.

Hope he stays away from the Brits tomorrow but then he does what he likes so he could well be there!

He's new to Island records this year so, he may very well go as part of their group, doubt he would have if he'd still been with Sony though. :D

And congratulations on his WOS newcomer award which comes on the 10th anniversary year of his breakthrough award at the Brits. The boy's done good. :D
